“Tragic Homicide: 18-Year-Old Christion Olson Remembered by Family and Friends”

On July 12, Christion Olson attended a graduation party with friends, but he tragically passed away the next day. Police have now ruled his death a homicide, classifying it as suspicious in the weeks following the incident.

Christion’s family has been left searching for answers for months. The 18-year-old was at a party on Topaz Lane when he sustained injuries under unclear circumstances. Investigators noted that his friends were unaware of how he was hurt and took him home afterward.

Chris Olson, Christion’s father, recounted the devastating moment he saw his son again the following morning. “When we got up, we saw him, and we noticed he looked like he had been accosted. He stopped breathing shortly afterwards,” Chris said.

On Saturday, friends and family gathered to remember Christion and seek justice for his untimely death. Rochelle Olson, Christion’s mother, expressed her anguish: “I am just baffled that a young man who was so full of life, who had so much potential, had his life taken, and no one is saying anything about it.”

The family organized a walk from the Brunswick Hills Police Station to Topaz Lane, the location where Christion was found barely alive. They hope to raise awareness in the community and encourage anyone with information about Christion’s death to come forward.

Rochelle shared her feelings about the homicide ruling: “We kind of already knew that [the ruling] in July, so just having it finalized like that is very gut-wrenching. You kind of hope that it’s ruled something else, not what it was, because of what that means.”
