Mega Millions ticket hits $2 million in NE Ohio

(WJW) – It’s time to check those Mega Millions tickets. A ticket sold in Northeast Ohio is worth a whopping $2 million!

According to lottery officials, the ticket matched all five numbers in the Friday, September 6, drawing and included the ‘Megaplier’ to double the winnings from $1 million to $2 million. The winning ticket was purchased at Mickey Mart in North Ridgeville.

Jackpot Update

Although this ticket was just one number shy of hitting the Mega Millions jackpot, which would have brought in $740 million, no one won the jackpot in the drawing. As a result, the jackpot has increased to an estimated $800 million.

The winning numbers for the September 6 drawing were: 6-23-41-59-63 and Megaball 25.

Other Winners

In addition to the $2 million win in Ohio, there were five other big winners who each won $1 million. These tickets were sold in California, Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire, and Texas. Additionally, two other tickets sold in Ohio won $10,000 each.

Next Drawing

The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10. Remember, the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
