Third Suspect Arrested in May Murder Case on Cleveland’s East Side

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of Christie Bozeman, which occurred on May 3 in the Central neighborhood of the city. Marshae Davis, 34, was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Tuesday morning in Cleveland Heights.

Davis is the third individual linked to Bozeman’s murder. Cashmere Cole, also involved in the case, is currently charged with aggravated murder and is being held in the Cuyahoga County Jail with a bond set at $1,000,000. Bozeman, 28, suffered multiple gunshot wounds to her head and body, as confirmed by the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Leonai Johnson, 19, is the other suspect tied to the case. Johnson was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force on May 15. She allegedly called several family members and associates, including Cole and Davis, to an apartment on Central Avenue, where Bozeman was shot and killed.

Johnson initially faced eight felony charges, including multiple counts of aggravated murder. However, she ultimately pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter and was sentenced to five years of community control, according to court records.
