Mother Grieves Son’s Death in Cleveland: Killed Over $5
A mother is mourning the tragic loss of her son after a deadly altercation in Cleveland. In October, 54-year-old Carlos Roldan was fatally stabbed during a drug deal that went wrong.
His mother, Salena Clark, acknowledges that her son had struggled in the past but believes he didn’t deserve to lose his life over it. “He had just spent a year in prison, then went through a rehab program and had been sober for the first time in years,” Clark explained.
For the first time in years, Clark had planned to travel from her home in Columbus to Cleveland to reconnect with her son. “It’s just been his entire life of that, knowing that my son is really this awesome man… and I just feel cheated, that I never in his entire life had a moment to enjoy him – his true self,” she said.
The family is holding a vigil for Carlos on Saturday, November 16, to honor his memory.
22-year-old Christian Beaton has been charged with the murder of Carlos Roldan.
