Lakewood’s $21 Million Investment: Bunts Road Rehabilitation Approved

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — The Lakewood City Council has approved a substantial $21 million budget for the rehabilitation of Bunts Road, with work set to commence in 2026.

At its meeting on September 3, the council passed a resolution to secure the funds necessary for the project. This resolution enables the city to finalize an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation to undertake the extensive roadwork.

The planned rehabilitation aims to address long-standing infrastructure needs, improving both the safety and functionality of Bunts Road for residents and travelers alike.
