Cuyahoga County Council Adopts New Public Comment Policy: 30 Speakers, 2 Minutes Each
CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cuyahoga County Council has implemented new rules that reduce the public comment period to two minutes per speaker. This change, approved on Tuesday, aims to give more individuals the opportunity to address the council.
Previously, the council had temporarily restricted public comment to 20 people, each allotted three minutes to speak. Under the new rule, the time limit has been shortened to two minutes, which will accommodate up to 30 speakers.
