According to Vibes.okdiario, Some states began distributing SNAP benefits to eligible recipients on October 1, but not all have started on that day. A few states will begin issuing Food Stamp payments from October 4. Here’s a breakdown of which states will issue SNAP benefits on that date.

States Issuing SNAP Benefits on October 4

According to the USDA and the Food and Nutrition Service, the following states will start sending SNAP payments on October 4:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Maryland
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi

Eligibility for SNAP Payments in Alabama and Arkansas

In Alabama, SNAP benefits will be issued from October 4 through October 23. To determine when your payment will be due, check the last two digits of your SNAP case number. For example, if your case number ends in 00-04, your payment will be available on your EBT card on October 4.

Arkansas will also begin sending Food Stamps on October 4, with payments continuing through October 13. To find out when you will receive your benefits, look at the last digit of your Social Security Number (SSN). If your SSN ends in 0 or 1, you can expect to receive Food Stamps on October 4.

Maximum SNAP Payment Amounts

After the 2025 COLA increase, individuals in Alabama and Arkansas may receive a maximum of $292. Families of four can receive up to $975, while households of eight can receive up to $1,756. These maximum amounts are consistent across the 48 contiguous states.

Eligibility for SNAP Payments in Maryland, Minnesota, and Mississippi

Maryland will start delivering SNAP benefit payments from October 4 through October 23. To find out your payment date, look at the first three letters of your last name. If your last name starts with letters between AAA and BAO, you will receive your Food Stamps on October 4.

In Minnesota, recipients should check their case number; if it ends in 4, your Food Stamps will be loaded onto your EBT card on October 4. If your case number ends in 1, your payment will be issued on the 11th, and those ending in 0 will receive their benefits on the 10th.

Finally, in Mississippi, while SNAP payments also start on October 4, they will only be sent until October 21. Check the last two digits of your case number—those ending in 00-04 will receive their benefits on October 4.
