Double Murder Suspect Arrested in Bedford Neighborhood

A double murder suspect has been apprehended following an operation by U.S. Marshals.

Aric Ward, 34, was taken into custody in Bedford, as confirmed by a press release. He was wanted by the Cleveland Division of Police on two counts of murder.

Ward was arrested at a residence located in the 24800 block of Woodline Road. Investigators linked him to the shooting deaths of Bralon Shepard, 26, and Sylvon Robinson, 27, who were fatally shot on June 1 near East 109th Street and Prince Avenue. The victims were discovered dead in a vehicle.

U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott commended the teamwork among law enforcement agencies, stating, “The Cleveland Division of Police continues to work hard for its citizens, solving another homicide investigation. We are happy to work hand in hand with the dedicated officers of Cleveland Police to arrest violent fugitives and keep the city a safe place to live.”
