“Cleveland Medical Examiner Rules Death in Burned Vehicle a Homicide”

Cleveland police detectives are actively investigating the homicide of a man whose body was discovered in a burned car over the weekend. As previously reported by FOX 8, Cleveland firefighters responded to a vehicle fire near Aspinwall Avenue and East 138th Street shortly after 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a charred sports utility vehicle with a body located in the trunk. Homicide detectives were subsequently called to the scene to investigate further.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 34-year-old Lucian Sheppard, who suffered gunshot wounds to both the head and chest. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is ongoing.
