Cleveland Barber Escapes Injury After Shot Fired by Client Without Funds
The owner of Urban Kutz Barbershop is seeking help in locating a man who allegedly fired a shot at one of his barbers on Sunday. Waverly Willis, the owner, reported that the suspect entered the barbershop, located at 11100 Detroit Ave., but was unable to pay for his haircut.
During an argument between the suspect and one of the barbers, Willis said the man pulled out a 9mm pistol and fired a shot at the barber. Fortunately, the barber was not injured, and the shooter fled the scene.
Cleveland Police responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m. after receiving reports of shots fired. Officers discovered that the altercation between the employee and client escalated, leading the client to fire a shot inside the business. Thankfully, no one was hit. The suspect then went outside, fired four to five more shots into the air, and left the area.
Police have reported no injuries and are continuing their investigation.
