New SNAP benefits confirmed for this week in September: States will pay up to $1,751

If you’re a recipient of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), you might receive your benefits this week on your EBT card. Although some states have already completed their distributions, others will continue sending out benefits until September 28. For those whose benefits aren’t scheduled for this week, you may still receive them by September 28.

How Benefits Are Arranged

Different states use various methods to determine when SNAP benefits are issued:

  • Alabama: Payments are based on the case number. For example, if your case number ends in 60-64, you’ll receive benefits on September 16. If it ends in 95-99, your payment will be on September 23.
  • Delaware: Distributions are determined by the first letter of your last name. For instance, if your last name starts with an “O,” you will get your benefits on September 16. Last names starting with X, Y, or Z will see payments on September 23.
  • Maryland: Payments are scheduled based on the first three letters of your last name. If the letters are between MCP and NEF, you’ll receive your benefits on September 16.
