South Euclid Man Arrested for Inducing Panic with Gun at Walmart
Officers responded to a Walmart on October 8 after receiving multiple reports of a man waving a gun in the parking lot. Upon arrival, they detained the suspect, a 20-year-old South Euclid man, but initially did not find a firearm on him.
According to the suspect, he had just exited the store when he encountered two men who began harassing him. He believed they were connected to his brother’s death. A witness directed officers to a vehicle where the suspect had allegedly removed the gun before pointing it at the other men. Police then located the firearm in the vehicle, which was registered to a woman who had accompanied the suspect to the store with her two daughters.
The man was subsequently charged with inducing panic and carrying a concealed weapon. The two men involved in the incident had left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival and were not identified.
