Cleveland Amber Alert Canceled: Missing 3-Month-Old Chyla Smiley Found Safe
Cleveland police have issued an Amber Alert for three-month-old Chyla Smiley, who was allegedly abducted by a man believed to be her father, Jackeel Kemorian La Priest Taylor, 28. The incident occurred at 1892 Mannering Road on Thursday, just before 5:30 p.m.
According to police reports, Taylor attacked Chyla’s grandmother before taking the infant. The child was last seen wearing a multi-colored Care Bears outfit with ruffles. She is described as 27 inches tall, weighing 12 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Authorities believe that Taylor, who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds, may be driving a silver 2016 Chevrolet Cruze with Ohio license plates KBJ 6919. He was last spotted wearing stone-washed blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and white Jordan brand sneakers. Taylor has a tattoo of angel wings on his neck and wears his hair in dreadlocks.
Police are actively searching for the vehicle, which was reported heading northeast, possibly toward East 93rd Street and Hough Avenue. Anyone with information regarding Chyla’s whereabouts or Taylor’s location is urged to contact the authorities immediately.
