Missed Your Social Security Payment? Here’s Your Next Opportunity to Receive Up to $4,873
Today, millions of retirees are receiving their Social Security payments from the Social Security Administration (SSA). However, not all recipients qualify for the same payday.
For instance, if you started receiving monthly payments before May 1997, you could get a Social Security check or direct deposit on October 3. Additionally, those who receive both Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and retirement benefits may also see their payments on this date.
Upcoming Social Security Payments for October
There are three more rounds of Wednesday payments remaining in October, but keep in mind that you can only receive one of these payments if you are not eligible for the October 3 payment.
To qualify for the remaining payments, you must have started receiving Social Security after April 30, 1997, and not be receiving SSI. The payment schedule is based on your birth date:
- October 9 Payment: For retirees whose birthdays fall between the 1st and the 10th of any month.
- October 16 Payment: For those with birthdays from the 11th to the 20th. This payment is scheduled for the third Wednesday of October.
- October 23 Payment: For retirees born from the 21st to the 31st. This will be the final payment of the month, issued on the fourth Wednesday.
It’s important to note that if you received the payment on October 3, you will not get the next check on November 3; instead, it will be sent earlier, on November 1, as confirmed by the SSA.
