Taste the Excitement: A New Restaurant Launches in Shaker Heights, Ohio
On October 22, Kiln, a new restaurant, officially welcomed its first guests in Shaker Heights. Located at 3386 Tuttle Rd, Kiln is the latest culinary venture from Edgewater Hospitality, the group behind popular dining spots Amba and Zhug.
Kiln offers a unique menu featuring family-style dishes that highlight seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. Some of the standout offerings include popovers served with strawberry jam and whipped Minerva Dairy butter, mushroom tartlets, and buttermilk fried chicken livers accompanied by cherry compote, Nate’s bacon, and organic spinach. Seafood lovers can enjoy PEI mussels and a flavorful fish stew made with a foie gras broth, cod, shrimp, and cherrystone clams. Meat dishes include pan-roasted half chicken with chimichurri and a leek & butter bean ragout, as well as ribeye steak tips served with horseradish purée, carrots, pearl onions, and burgundy jus.
For dessert, Kiln doesn’t disappoint, offering indulgent options like dark chocolate ganache, baked Alaska featuring pistachio cake, cherry jam, and vanilla ice cream, and a delectable apple crisp served with vegan caramel pecan ice cream.
Local diners have already begun to share their experiences, with one Google reviewer praising the new addition to Shaker Heights for its inviting atmosphere and delicious food.

A dinner destination. Such a charming restaurant with a delicious menu. Great for group dining. We came as a group of 5 and each menu item was well proportioned to share. There are 3 courses and we chose 3 items per course and included 2 proteins. You order all of the courses at once. I was satisfied and would recommend that portion or more. Our service was OUTSTANDING, exceptional, above and beyond. Our waitress was attentive and helpful.
Kiln is open six days a week, from Monday to Thursday, 4 PM to 10 PM, and Friday to Saturday, 4 PM to 11 PM. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. If you’re in the area, stop by to experience the culinary delights Kiln has to offer!
