Stop & Shop Announces Last-Minute Closures: 17 Locations Shut Down Just Before Thanksgiving!

According to The Sun , In a last-minute shake-up ahead of the holiday season, Stop & Shop has announced the closure of 17 additional stores across New York and New Jersey. These closures will take effect this Saturday, just weeks before Thanksgiving, leaving many shoppers scrambling to adjust their holiday plans.

The decision is part of a broader trend for the supermarket chain, which has been gradually winding down operations at select locations throughout the Northeast. This latest wave of shutdowns will affect 10 stores in New Jersey and seven in New York.

These closures follow a previous round of store shutdowns last month, during which Stop & Shop closed eight underperforming locations in Massachusetts. Those closures featured liquidation sales offering discounts of up to 15%, allowing bargain-hunters to snag final deals on remaining inventory.
