Stimulus Payment 1112 Claim: What is the deadline to file the PTC application?
Colorado residents can now take advantage of the Property Tax, Rent, Heat (PTC) Rebate program, which offers eligible individuals the opportunity to claim up to $1,112. Managed by the state’s Department of Revenue, this benefit is specifically designed for low-income individuals, seniors, and people with disabilities, and is accessible regardless of whether the applicant has a Social Security Number.
Purpose of the PTC Rebate
The PTC Rebate program aims to support eligible residents with their expenses during the colder months, backed by a fund of $7 million. To qualify, applicants must meet specific criteria, including being full-year Colorado residents who are at least 65 years old, surviving spouses aged 58 or older, or individuals of any age with a disability.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for the PTC Rebate is determined by income and living expenses. Individual applicants must have an income of $18,026 or less, while married couples filing jointly should not exceed $24,345. Furthermore, applicants must have resided in Colorado for the entire year of 2023 and have incurred rent, property tax, or heating costs during that time. Importantly, applicants cannot be claimed as dependents on someone else’s federal tax return.
Important Deadlines for Applications
Residents should be aware of the application deadlines for the PTC Rebate. For applications submitted by December 10, the full rebate will be issued as a single payment starting in January 2025. For applications received by December 31, 2025, rebates will be processed and paid out 10 weeks after receipt, or 12 weeks if submitted by paper check.
How to Track Your Application
Applicants can easily track the status of their application through the Colorado Department of Revenue’s online portal. Accessing this feature requires a username and password; new users will need to register first.

Additionally, those without a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) can request an Alternate Identification Number when applying for the rebate.
