“SSDI Payments of $1,539 Arriving Soon: What You Need to Know!”

Eligibility for September Payments
Disability benefits will be sent out on September 25, but only for those who meet specific eligibility criteria. Only SSDI recipients with birthdays from the 21st to the 31st of any month are eligible to receive their next Social Security payment on this date. If your birthday falls before the 21st, you will need to wait for your October payments.
It’s also important to note that individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or those who began collecting benefits before May 1997 will not qualify for the September 25 payment.
Expected Payment Amounts
Eligible SSDI recipients can expect an average payment of approximately $1,539 on September 25. High earners may receive up to $3,822, depending on factors such as payroll taxes paid, age at filing, and years of work history.

SSDI Payment Schedule for October
Looking ahead, October will feature four different SSDI payment dates. Recipients who qualify for Supplemental Security Income will receive their payments on October 1, 2024. Those receiving both SSI and SSDI will get their Social Security payments on October 3, 2024.
For those who started receiving benefits before May 1997, your Disability Insurance payment will also be processed on October 3. After that, there will be three rounds of Wednesday payments for Disability Insurance recipients:
- October 9: Birthdates from the 1st to the 10th
- October 16: Birthdates from the 11th to the 20th
- October 23: Birthdates from the 21st to the 31st
The maximum payment for these dates will remain at $3,822, similar to the amounts in September. The average payment may slightly fluctuate, but it is expected to be around $1,539.
