Ohio Double Murder Case Highlighted in Upcoming Netflix Documentary
An unsolved double murder in Ohio will be highlighted in an episode of Netflix’s documentary series “Unsolved Mysteries” this week, as reported by CBS affiliates WOIO-19 TV and WKYC-3 TV.
Five years ago, longtime friends Carnell Sledge and Kate Brown were tragically shot and killed while sitting on a bench at the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation. The Cleveland Metroparks Police Department and the Cleveland Division of the FBI have stated that the shooting occurred on June 4, 2019, between 5:08 and 5:15 p.m.
Since the incident, family members and community advocates have been actively working to raise awareness about the case, which has garnered national attention. Recently, families distributed yard signs throughout the community to keep the memory of Sledge and Brown alive.
The case will premiere on Netflix’s “Unsolved Mysteries” on October 2. Authorities are offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and successful prosecution in this case, according to both news outlets.
