Official Update: Two Social Security Checks Scheduled for November Retirees
According to Lagradaonline, As October progresses, retirees are reminded to start planning their income distribution for the last quarter of the year. With the holiday season approaching—marked by Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Christmas—it’s essential for retirees to manage their finances carefully to ensure their funds last through the end of the year.
Understanding the October Payment Schedule
As October payments are being distributed, it’s helpful to review the payment schedule. This ensures that you’re aware of any missed dates and can reach out to the Social Security Administration (SSA) if necessary.
- Tuesday, October 1: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments for all qualified individuals.
- Thursday, October 3: Retirement payments for retirees who claimed their Social Security benefits before 1997, along with Supplemental Security Disability Income (SSDI) payments for the same beneficiaries.
- Wednesday, October 9: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 1st and the 10th of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.
- Wednesday, October 16: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 11th and the 20th of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.
- Wednesday, October 23: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 21st and the 31st of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.
Upcoming November Payment Schedule
The November payment calendar is less straightforward due to scheduling changes:
- Friday, November 1: SSI payments for all qualified individuals will be made on this day. Since the 3rd falls on a Sunday, payments are moved to the preceding Friday. This date also includes retirement payments for retirees who claimed Social Security benefits before 1997, along with SSDI payments.
- Wednesday, November 13: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 1st and the 10th of the month, as well as SSDI payments for the same beneficiaries.
- Wednesday, November 20: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 11th and the 20th of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.

- Wednesday, November 27: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 21st and the 31st of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.
- Friday, November 29: While this extra payment is noteworthy, it should not be confused with December’s normal payments. The SSI payment for December is scheduled for Sunday, December 1, necessitating an early distribution on November 29.
December Payment Schedule
December also has its own payment timeline, with a mix of regular and early payments:
- Tuesday, December 3: Retirement payments for retirees who claimed their Social Security benefits before 1997, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.
- Wednesday, December 11: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 1st and the 10th of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.
- Wednesday, December 18: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 11th and the 20th of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries.
- Tuesday, December 24: Retirement payments for retirees born between the 21st and the 31st of the month, along with SSDI payments for these beneficiaries. This payment is moved up from Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day) to allow for bank operations.
- Tuesday, December 31: This payment, while technically occurring in December, is the first SSI payment for January 2025. To accommodate New Year’s, this payment will be processed early on New Year’s Eve when banks are open and will reflect the 2025 Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA).
