No Charges Filed Against Bay Village Woman Who Admitted to Killing Roommate
Bay Village police announced that a woman who told a dispatcher she killed her roommate will not be charged in connection with the incident. The shooting occurred last week at a residence on Bassett Road.
In a 911 call obtained by News 5, the caller admitted to shooting her roommate, Anthony Hein, claiming he was attacking her. “I just shot my roommate; he’s been attacking me all night,” she told dispatchers.
The dispatcher inquired, “Is he breathing?” to which the caller replied, “I don’t know. I left because I was afraid he was going to try to grab the gun. I was trying to get to my neighbor’s house.”
Upon arrival, Bay Village police found Hein pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Following their investigation, authorities determined that the woman would not face any charges related to the incident.
