A Cuyahoga County jury has delivered guilty verdicts against two East Cleveland police officers for misconduct related to their duties.
Former detective Ian McInnes was found guilty on multiple counts, including one count of attempted felonious assault and three counts of assault. He was also convicted of dereliction of duty and interfering with civil rights.
Sergeant Anthony Holmes received convictions for tampering with records, telecommunications fraud, interfering with civil rights, and dereliction of duty.
These two officers are part of a larger investigation involving 18 current and former members of the East Cleveland Police Department who have been indicted for various crimes over the past two years. McInnes and Holmes are set to face sentencing next month.
