Internet Sleuths Claim to Uncover Deshaun Watson’s Alleged Burner Account
Leroy Bickerstaff has emerged as a staunch defender of Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, leading some to speculate that the account might actually be managed by Watson himself. Created in September 2024, Bickerstaff’s Twitter presence has become a focal point of defense for the beleaguered QB.
The account, which follows no one and features only a single tweet posted during Monday Night Football, offered a defense of Watson, suggesting that he would thrive with a strong left tackle like Trent Williams. Despite its limited content, Bickerstaff has been highly active in responding to tweets, often praising those who remain supportive of Watson while attacking critics.
Notably, Bickerstaff has taken aim at ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky, who criticized the Cleveland offense and suggested Jameis Winston as a potential starter. In a playful jab, Bickerstaff mocked Orlovsky’s infamous end zone blunder, a moment Orlovsky himself often jokes about.
Additionally, Bickerstaff has shared videos from teammates endorsing Watson’s leadership and commitment, further fueling speculation about his true identity.
Watson’s performance on Sunday was underwhelming, with 24 completions on 45 attempts for 169 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. This poor showing has heightened fan frustration, and while Bickerstaff advocates for patience, the persistent underperformance over the past three years makes it difficult for supporters to remain optimistic.
