Why is there an SSI payment on November 29, 2024?
Since December 1 is a Sunday, the Social Security Administration will issue the payment on November 29, the last business day of the month. The payment on December 31 will include the 2025 Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) increase. Individuals will receive up to $967, married couples will receive up to $1,450, and essential persons will receive up to $484, reflecting a small boost to their monthly benefits.
