Eligibility Requirements
Interested candidates must meet several key requirements to qualify for the $10,000 relocation incentive:

- Must have a minimum annual income of $52,000.
- Income must be derived from full-time remote employment or self-employment outside of Colbert and Lauderdale counties.
- The move to The Shoals must occur within six months of program approval.

Application Process and Payment Structure
Applications for the Remote Shoals Program can be submitted via its website. However, the application process is currently paused and will reopen on March 1, 2025, remaining open until March 31. Candidate selections will occur by June 2025.
Payment Distribution
Approved applicants will receive the $10,000 incentive in three installments:
- $2,500 for initial relocation costs upon approval.
- An additional $2,500 after six months of residency in The Shoals.
- The remaining $5,000 after the first year of living in the area.
