“Dallas Cowboys Linked to Trade for Browns WR Elijah Moore”

The Cleveland Browns endured a tough start to their season in Week 1, suffering a 33-17 defeat against the Dallas Cowboys. The Browns’ offense struggled throughout the game, leading some to speculate about potential mid-season trades.

One player frequently mentioned as a trade candidate is wide receiver Elijah Moore. Moore, who is in the final year of his contract, has been demoted to the No. 3 receiver spot behind Amari Cooper and Jerry Jeudy. In the season opener, he had a modest performance, recording just three catches for nine yards.

Devavrat Kulkarni of NFL Analysis Network included Moore in a list of potential trade targets for the Cowboys. Kulkarni points out that Moore’s opportunities in Cleveland may be limited with Cooper, Jeudy, and tight end David Njoku ahead of him in the target hierarchy. Additionally, rookie Cedric Tillman has shown promise in training camp, potentially threatening Moore’s role further.

Despite a strong performance last season—59 receptions for 640 yards and two touchdowns—Moore’s production was bolstered by his position as the team’s No. 2 receiver. The arrival of Jeudy has pushed Moore further down the depth chart.

On the other hand, the Cowboys could benefit from adding another receiver to support CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks, who has yet to meet expectations since his acquisition.

While it’s still early in the season, and no decisions have been made, the Browns’ lackluster Week 1 performance has certainly fueled trade speculation surrounding Elijah Moore.
