Cleveland Woman Sentenced to Life for Murdering CSU Professor Todd Morgan

A 32-year-old woman has been sentenced to life in prison for the shooting death of 41-year-old Todd Morgan in Hudson, as announced by Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolvich on Thursday. Terreionna Paschal pleaded guilty to aggravated murder with a firearm specification on Wednesday.

Prosecutors indicated that Paschal would be eligible for parole after serving 23 years of her sentence. As part of her plea agreement, she has been placed on the state’s violent offender registry.

Paschal was indicted in May 2023 for the murder of Morgan, a respected member of the community who was also a loving father, husband, and mentor. Kolkovich expressed the profound impact of Morgan’s loss, stating, “This tragedy will be felt for years to come. This community is safer as a result of this sentence. Thank you to the Hudson Police Department and the assistant prosecutors on this case.”

During the emotional court proceedings, Sandy Morgan, the victim’s mother, addressed Paschal directly. “I would like to say I hope you burn in hell, but I can’t because I’m a Christian. I serve a God,” she said, urging Paschal to reveal the truth about the events of that fateful day.

In her brief statement, Paschal offered an apology, expressing her hope for eventual forgiveness: “I’m very sorry, and I hope that one day you can find it in your hearts to forgive me.”

According to Kolkovich, the two had met online in April 2023 and agreed to meet in person shortly thereafter, with Morgan inviting Paschal into his home without any suspicion of impending danger. Tragically, during their meeting, Paschal shot Morgan multiple times, leaving him to die.
