Carjacking in Cuyahoga County Parking Lot Leaves Employee Injured
A Cuyahoga County employee was injured in a carjacking on Oct. 24, according to county spokesperson Jennifer Ciaccia.
The incident took place in an employee parking lot on Euclid Avenue, where the woman was forcibly removed from her vehicle at gunpoint. Ciaccia confirmed that the victim sustained multiple injuries during the attack.
The stolen car was recovered the following week, but detectives suspect the group of men involved in the carjacking may be linked to additional thefts and break-ins, both on county property and within the City of Cleveland.
The investigation is ongoing, led by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 216-252-CRIME or the Sheriff’s Detective Bureau at 216-443-6130.
