Back-to-Back Shootings in South Euclid: Officers on Scene Within Minutes
South Euclid officers responded to two separate shootings within a span of less than 10 minutes on Sunday afternoon.
According to the South Euclid Police Department (SEPD), the first incident occurred at 12:33 p.m. on the 4000 block of Okalona Road, where officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Just nine minutes later, at 12:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to the second shooting on the 3800 block of Salisbury Road. There, they discovered another man with at least one gunshot wound. His condition at the time of transport to the hospital was not immediately known.
SEPD officials reported that they detained one individual from the second scene for questioning. Notably, the two shooting locations are more than 2.5 miles apart.
