According to The Sun , Time is running out for Americans to claim their share of a $29.55 million payout resulting from a data leak involving ZoomInfo. The company faced a class action lawsuit for violating consumer privacy rights. Although ZoomInfo does not admit any wrongdoing, it has agreed to settle the claims with a substantial payout distributed across four separate lawsuits.
The settlement is divided into four portions, corresponding to classes in California, Illinois, Indiana, and Nevada. The amounts allocated are as follows: $14.23 million for the California class, $11.69 million for the Illinois class, $2.3 million for the Indiana class, and $1.33 million for the Nevada class. Eligible individuals will receive compensation based on their state of residency.
In California, class members can expect to receive between $108.43 and $216.86. Illinois residents will receive slightly more, ranging from $145.93 to $291.85. Indiana participants will see a significantly higher payout, between $740.77 and $1,481.54, surpassing the maximum amounts for both California and Illinois. Nevada residents stand to gain the most, with payments ranging from $971.24 to $1,942.47. Actual payments may vary and could be higher or lower than the specified ranges, according to reports from Top Class Actions.

To determine eligibility, individuals must check when their names first appeared on Zoominfo.com. The relevant dates for each state are as follows:
- California: January 9, 2020, to March 27, 2024.
- Illinois: April 15, 2020, to March 27, 2024.
- Indiana: March 27, 2022, to March 27, 2024.
- Nevada: March 27, 2022, to March 27, 2024.
The deadline to submit a claim form is fast approaching on November 4, just hours away. The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for November 21, 2024.
