A shooting in Cleveland’s Old Brooklyn area left two people dead and two injured.
Three people were shot, and two are dead in a suspected murder-suicide that occurred in Cleveland on Thursday, according to police.
Authorities reported receiving a call about shots fired around 5:00 p.m. in the 2700 block of Natchez Avenue. When officers arrived, they discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds.
The incident began with a verbal altercation between a 22-year-old man, identified as the suspect, and a 24-year-old woman. During the argument, the suspect fired multiple shots at the woman.
In the process, a 21-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were also struck by the gunfire.
Police pursued the suspect at the scene, and during the chase, he shot himself.
Cleveland EMS pronounced the 24-year-old woman dead at the scene. The two other victims were transported to MetroHealth Hospital, where one remains in stable condition and the other in serious condition.
The suspect was also taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide, though police note that details may change as the investigation progresses.
