“One Dead in Beachwood Crash on I-271: Key Details Revealed”
An investigation is currently ongoing following a tragic three-car accident in Beachwood that involved a tractor-trailer. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 22, at approximately 10:50 p.m. on I-271 South, between Chagrin Boulevard and Harvard Road.
According to Beachwood police, the accident began with a collision in the local lanes of I-271. One of the vehicles involved subsequently veered into the express lanes, where it collided with a tractor-trailer.
A 40-year-old man from Mayfield Heights was transported to a hospital with injuries sustained in the crash but unfortunately later died. Two other drivers involved in the incident were treated at the scene and subsequently released.
The Eastside Departments Group Enforcement (EDGE) Accident Investigation Unit is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
