3 Disability benefit payments to be sent in November – SSI and SSDI recipients to get check of $696 & $1,542
According to Vibes.okdiario , Disability benefit payments are a vital source of support for individuals with qualifying disabilities. The Social Security Administration (SSA) has confirmed that there are only two remaining Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) checks for November. However, there’s an important update for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients—there will be an extra payment issued on Black Friday this year.
Black Friday SSI Payment
Although the next SSI payment was originally scheduled for December 1, 2024, SSA has moved the payment to November 29 due to the 1st falling on a Sunday. Since SSA offices and banks will be closed on Sunday, November 1, the advance payment ensures recipients won’t experience delays. This means that SSI recipients will receive their checks or direct deposits on November 29, 2024, instead of December 1.
Upcoming SSDI Payments
For those receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payments, some recipients have already received their benefits for November on November 1 and November 13. However, if you haven’t received your SSDI payment yet, here are the upcoming payment dates:
- November 20: For recipients whose birthday falls between the 11th and the 20th.
- November 27: For recipients whose birthday falls between the 21st and the 31st.
- December 3: For those who began receiving benefits before May 1997, or those who also receive SSI.

How to Qualify for the Maximum SSDI Payment
While most SSDI recipients will see a standard monthly payment, some may qualify for a significantly larger benefit. The maximum SSDI payment for 2024 is $3,822. This amount is typically reserved for individuals who have worked for 35 years, earned the taxable maximum during that time, and met SSA’s other eligibility requirements.
However, the average SSDI payment is typically around $1,542 per month. If your SSDI payment is low, you may also be eligible for SSI, which could provide additional financial assistance. In some cases, individuals can receive both SSDI and SSI benefits simultaneously if they meet the qualifications.
To check eligibility and apply for SSI, visit the SSA website or contact your local SSA office.
