According to The Sun , Shoppers should plan ahead for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, as many major retailers, including Nordstrom, will close for the entire day. All 360 Nordstrom stores will be shuttered on Thursday, November 28, giving employees the day off to observe the national holiday. Nordstrom, however, will extend hours on Black Friday, with early openings and later closings to accommodate deal hunters. Full Black Friday hours will be posted on Nordstrom.com one week before Thanksgiving.
Other major department stores, such as Macy’s, Kohl’s, Belk, and JCPenney, will also be closed on Thanksgiving Day, along with popular discount retailers TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods. For those eager to shop, stores like JCPenney will open at 5 a.m. on Black Friday, while Belk, HomeGoods, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls will open at 7 a.m. local time.
Grocery shoppers should also plan in advance, as Publix, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Target, Aldi, BJ’s, and Costco will be closed on Thanksgiving. A few stores, however, including Albertsons, Food Lion, H.E.B., Kroger, and Whole Foods, will open on Thanksgiving but with limited hours to accommodate last-minute shoppers.
