For those who started collecting retirement or SSDI benefits before May 1997, the payment date is set for November 1, instead of November 3, due to the weekend. Additionally, recipients of SSI payments on November 1 will also receive their Social Security payment that was originally due on November 3, as it has been rescheduled to avoid weekend delays.
