The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced the upcoming SNAP payouts in Texas, detailing who is eligible and when payments will be distributed. Given the large number of SNAP users, it’s important to note that not everyone receives their Food Stamps at the same time.
SNAP Payment Structure
The maximum benefits for SNAP recipients are consistent across the contiguous 48 states. For example, a household of eight can receive up to $1,756, while a family of four can get up to $975.
Upcoming SNAP Payments in Texas
Here are the details for SNAP payments through October 15 for those who qualified before June 1, 2020. The last two digits of your Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) number dictate your payment date:
- EDG ends in 5: Payment on October 9
- EDG ends in 6: Payment on October 11
- EDG ends in 7: Payment on October 12
- EDG ends in 8: Payment on October 13
If you qualified for SNAP after June 1, 2020, your last payment will occur on October 15, and your EDG must end in September.
