Payment Schedule
The date you receive your Social Security payment primarily depends on your birthdate or when you first started receiving benefits. The schedule for September 2024 is as follows:
- Received Social Security before May 1997: September 3
- Born between the 1st and 10th of any month: September 11
- Born between the 11th and 20th of any month: September 18
- Born between the 21st and 31st of any month: September 25
If you’re among the recipients in the last group, your check is set to arrive by September 25, the last scheduled date for this month, per the Social Security Administration.
