Today in our nation, there are many factors causing chaos between the people of our country and other nations.

One big recent event that is happening is NFL players protesting the National Anthem. President Donald Trump has spoken out numerous times at rallies and over social media about the protests.

“The NFL has all sorts of rules and regulations. The only way out for them is to set a rule that you can’t kneel during our National Anthem.” said Trump.

People all around the US territory of Puerto Rico are volunteering to help clean up the aftermath that the hurricanes have left. The most recent hurricane, Maria, has caused a lot of devastation to the island.

The governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Roselló, has spoken to US Congress about sending an aid package over to Puerto Rico, but is having trouble getting one sent. They want to get as much help as possible to get the country back on its feet.

Tensions have continued to rise between the US and North Korea. North Korea has threatened the US and is still causing problems within our country in regards to how to how to handle their threats.

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen,” President Trump told reporters at his golf club in New Jersey regarding North Korea’s nuclear threats a few weeks back.

So far, the US has ignored North Korea’s declaration of war claims but has assured its citizens they are safe from threat. Recently, North Korea relocated their warplanes along the country’s east coast as a threat to South Korea, a United States ally.

US leaders warned that war on the Korean Peninsula would result in “catastrophic consequences.”
