ABAWD Requirements and Upcoming Changes
In addition to payment amounts, eligible beneficiaries should be aware of the work requirements for Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) aged 18-54. Starting in October, these individuals must work a minimum of 80 hours per month to maintain their SNAP benefits for longer than three months within a three-year period. Failing to meet this requirement may result in the loss of benefits after three months.
