Dolly Parton Announces New Rock Album “Rockstar”

It’s never too late to try something new! Dolly Parton, loved by every sane person in America for her charming personality and charitable work, has strayed from her country roots to put out her very first rock album.

“I’m so excited to finally present my first Rock and Roll album Rockstar!” Dolly stated. “I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure. I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!”

The album has a very impressive roster of collaborators, including names such as Elton John, Mick Fleetwood, Joan Jett, P!nk, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, Lizzo, Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Debbie Harry, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

A good portion of the album’s track list are covers, especially from the 1970s, 80s and 90s, although “World On Fire,” written by Parton, has released as a single, landing itself in the #13 spot on the Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales in May 2023. “I think it speaks about everything and to everyone this day and time. I hope it is something that will touch you and maybe touch enough people to want to make a change for the better,” says Parton.

Being the 49th solo studio album Parton has under her belt, “Rockstar” is set to release on November 17, 2023.
