Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” made its release on May 5, 2023. It is the third of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie series, since 2017 with Vol. 2.

Vol. 3 has been long awaited by Marvel fans and they have a lot to say. Reviews have been rolling in since its release, receiving an 82% on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 4.2-star rating. “It was absolutely incredible. Down to the last, minute details. I cannot stop thinking about this film after watching it,” said a reviewer named Athena Emmanouil, giving the movie a 5-star rating. Many agree with this point of view, such as reviewer Tyler Skeen, “Let’s just get it right out the bag, I adored this film from start to finish.” Lots of fans think it had just the right amount of everything, humor, action, interest peaking, etc. However, some disagree, which comes with every film ever made. Even the 3-star reviews are still good: “The first of the Guardians films remains my favorite of the trilogy, with this entry, volume three, being second. This, the third entry, seems to lack a lot of what made the first one so very popular, including the wide array of classic, Motown, and old-time rock music that made it so memorable.” said Jonathon Hudson,  making sure to state that they love the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy but it didn’t reach the level of the other movies in the trilogy. While some completely disagree and believe it still retained that classic rock 80s mojo vibe. 

The movie consisted of 2 and a half hours of classic rock and humor and action-filled scenes. One of the things fans are most impressed by was the amazing visuals. There is review after review speaking on how much they loved the visually packed action. 

As for the movie itself, reeling from the loss of Gamora, and having her replaced with another version, the Guardians faced major challenges both physically and emotionally, taking fans on that journey with them. 

Everyone knew of the upcoming death in the movie, but many were unsure of who the character was going to be. There are lots of ups and downs, unexpected turns, laughs, cries, and overall a very emotion-triggering movie. As for the Marvel fans, most are happy with the movie, and are excited to see what’s next.
