Which Cleveland Classes Should I Take for my Major?
Cleveland High School offers several different courses that you can take, spanning across any major subject you can think of. This makes our school a fantastic place to prepare for college. Whether you want to be a biochemist or a librarian, here are some courses* that you can take to be equipped for your desired future!

Arts and Humanities
While arts and humanities do not fall under the exact same definition, they are regarded as being in the same general career bubble. This can include majors such as: History, philosophy, music, literature, religious studies, anthropology, psychology, linguistics, visual arts, performing arts, film studies, design, creative writing and journalism.

With demand for jobs increasing quite rapidly, this field is great to get into if you want a stable and higher income. Dealing with all things pharmaceutical, health and medicine consists of majors such as public health, biomedical sciences, nursing, biology, health administration, psychology, dentistry, physical therapy, nutrition and exercise physiology.

Public and social services take a look at human behaviors and use them to solve problems in society’s day-to-day life. Some majors in this field include: criminal justice, law, public administration, education, emergency management, cybersecurity, and political science.

Social sciences is essentially the “behind the scenes” work for public and social services. They study how the brain responds to change, connection and daily activities and turn it into usable data. Trades and Personal Services
Despite what a lot of people may think, handymen often make a very good salary. There aren’t many individuals willing to do the “dirty work,” (although that’s not all that this career cluster entails!) and therefore it is easy to find a program or business to take you on board! Some majors here include: forestry, metalsmithing and welding, robotics, construction management, culinary studies, equine studies, and petroleum engineering.

Remember that, while selecting classes in a specific area is helpful, it’s totally fine to branch out- In fact, it’s recommended! Colleges love seeing that you have something you’re dedicated to, but they also like well-roundedness, and you never truly know what you might end up doing!
