The year 2022 has had many records set for Track and Field. Approximately 11 records were broken in 2022. These records were broken in many different events by the girls and the guy’s teams. Track and field had a great 2022 season. They were also conference champions for their 2022 season for spring and winter seasons.
Jossie Williams broke the Pole vault record with an 8-6
Saidee Stone broke the Long Jump record with a 17-10 (outdoor season)
Zain Jones broke the Shot Put record with a 49-3
Kyzaiah Stone broke the High Jump record with a 7-0.5 (outdoor season)
Kyzaiah Stone broke the High Jump record with a 7-1 (indoor season)
The 4×100 relay was broken by Tavion Raynor, Josiah Peters, Leron Sparks, and Omarion Hampton with a time of 42.43
Kedar Mangum broke the Shot Put record with a 46-1
Jashawn Middleton broke the Triple Jump record with a 44-0
Harper Clark broke the 1000m record with a 2:34.76, the 3200m run with a 9:33.86, 1600m run with a 4:27.72
Kyzaiah Stone broke the 55m dash with a 6.53
Mason Porter broke the long jump record with a 17-10 (outdoor season) she also broke the indoor season record with a 17-6
The Rams had a great track season and can’t wait to break even more records this year. They are starting the year strong in the winter season with a few already qualified for states and Cleveland earning many points.
