Every year in October, the NC State Fair opens, but what’s new to the fair this year? The State Fair always has sugary snacks, crazy foods people wouldn’t normally try, rides, animals, and games.

The State Fair opened Thursday, October 13, and it’s going to end on Sunday, October 23. The fair opens at 8 am and closes at 11 pm daily. 

This year the Fair brings a ton of new foods like La Sobrosa Taco, Deep Fried Piggy Tails, Frozen Banana Pudding Tacos, DoriEsquites, Korean Corn Dogs, and a bunch of others. 

Along with new foods, there are a couple of new rides: Air Maxx, Crazy Crabs, Techno Jump, Wave Swinger 2, and Wipeout. For most of these rides, you have to be at least 48” or taller to ride them. 

There are also some new attractions, exhibits, and educational opportunities. The fair is also adding additional ride voucher redemption tents that are spread out over the fairgrounds. 

They certainly added a handful of new attractions and food for the public to enjoy with family or friends.
