10 athletes from Cleveland High School qualified at the Regional Track meet to go to states. The 4A East Regional meet was last Friday, on May 13. The 10 athletes will proceed to the State meet this Saturday, May 21, where they will showcase their athleticism and compete in different events.
Athletes going to States:
- Kyziah Stone – High Jump 1st place
- Lora Dillon – Long Jump 2nd place
- Lora Dillon – Triple Jump 2nd place
- Mia Thompson, Mason Porter, Nyla McAbee, and Saidee Stone – 4×1 Relay 2nd place
- Jashawn Middleton – Triple Jump 2nd place
- Omarion Hampton – 100m Dash 2nd place
- Grant barbour – 3200m Run 3rd place
- Saidee Stone – Long Jump 4th place
- Zain Jones – Shot Put 4th place
- Omarion Hampton – 200m Dash 4th place
- Harper Clark – 1600m Run 4th place
Cleveland High School’s girls and boys track team won first place in their conference. Now, we’ll see the five girls and six guys go on to States to face some of their toughest competition.
