Who You Need to Pick up in Fantasy Hockey

Lucas Raymond – Raymond is off to a hot start with 7 points in 6 games. He notched his first hat trick of his career. The last person to do so in a Red Wings sweater that was 19 or younger was Steve Yzerman in 1985. He is skating on a very deadly line with Dylan Larkin and Tyler Bertuzzi. However, Bertuzzi is unvaccinated which means he can’t play any games in Canada

Ryan Johansen – Johansen has put up 6 points in 7 games so far. He is skating on a line with Eeli Tolvanen and Luke Kunin. Johansen can also play on the powerplay and has 2 pp points. This is very helpful if you’re in a league where you get extra points for powerplay points. If he can keep up the pace he will be an underrated guy on your team.

Evan Rodrigues – With the absence of Crosby, Malkin, Rust, and now Carter with Covid, Rodrigues has been getting heavy minutes on the top line. He’s put up 5 points in 6 games so far. With how many players the Penguins are missing he is a perfect pick-up while they recover.

Tony DeAngelo – DeAngelo has four assists so far, with all of them being on the powerplay. He is quarterbacking the top powerplay unit, which is fifth best in the NHL as of right now. He is a great asset if you need the scoring and powerplay points.

Noah Dobson- Dobson has three assists in 6 games so far, while playing on the third pair. He is also starting to get powerplay minutes and even had a powerplay assist in the 3-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday, Oct 23. If he can keep this pace up, he may be moved up a pair and get more minutes, but as of right now is limited on that third pair.

Fredrick Andersen – Andersen has bounced back after a rough couple of seasons with the Maple Leafs, starting on a five-game winning streak. He has a .946 save percentage and a 1.60 goals-against average. Most of the shots Andersen faces are not great shots due to the Canes’ great defense, but when he faces a shot he puts it aside.
