My top pick for recent releases would be “Drivers License” by Olivia Rodrigo. Shortly after the release, this song became very popular on social media sites like TikTok. In many of the videos, people expressed their love for the song through creating lyrics in other points of view and crying about a breakup that wasn’t their own. I think this was the perfect song to start off 2021 with, and Olivia’s expert lyrical writing makes anyone and everyone fall in love with “Drivers License.”

My top pick for upcoming releases would be Foo Fighters album Medicine at Midnight. This will be the band’s 10th studio album and, as with all of their previous albums, I think this one will be top-notch. Three songs off the album have been released so far, “No Son of Mine”, “Shame Shame”, and “Waiting On A War”, all of which have their own sound, but fit the Foo Fighters perfectly. I’m excited to hear the rest of the songs on this album and add some new Foo Fighters songs to my favorites.
